Why Choose Enhanced Organic Reduction over Burial or Cremation

The environmental benefits of EOR in contrast to the traditional options of burial and cremation are varied and significant. A switch away from cremation could benefit us all by reducing the UK’s carbon emissions by up to 128,000 tonnes every year.

Minimal Energy Requirements - Up to 98% less than Cremations

A single cremation requires gas or electrical energy inputs equivalent to a 500 mile car trip. In comparison EOR does not require any fossil fuel energy and thus is not associated with any harmful carbon dioxide generation.

No Harmful Emissions - 100% less than cremation

There are no harmful emissions from the EOR process compared with cremation which generates up to 250Kg carbon dioxide per cremation. Additionally EOR does not emit the other toxic chemicals associated with all cremations, such as mercury, sulphur dioxide, nitrous dioxide or fine particulates.

Creates a Cubic Metre of Super Rich Fertile Soil to Support Conservation

With global soil quality deteriorating, this valuable resource can be used to help reverse the damage through use in environmental enrichment schemes such as reforestation.
